Walter's Watermelons
I planted 15 'Sugerbaby' watermelon seeds behind the house (in early May) on large mounds of fertilized topsoil, and finally a couple of them bloomed. Unfourtanatly 6 of the seeds that I planted died. The one shown in the picture is the largest 'Sugerbaby' so far, and by the looks of the the plants there will be many, many more to come. I think they'll be ready to eat by late August. Maybe you could come over to have a bite of one! -Walter

Pop-Up-Pals
So did anyone drown last night? We certainly hope not. Althought rain was very much needed. The poor corn was dying on us. Now it looks all nice and green, at the moment anyway. This morning Kathy and I taught the Pop-Up-Pals class. We had 5 ladies with Designer 1's and one lady with a Pfaff! Thats right, its a Viking design, but you can use it on a Pfaff!! Isn't that cool! I thought so. :) We had the class do a elephant design. But after they were done they had some free time to play around. Hazel (above) desided to do the monkey (below). The one banana peel is 3-D. Its a little flappy of banana skin.

Jackies Latest Creation
Jackie stopped in with a Spring Beauty in totally awesome colors. Check it out!
It freaks me out that we rode in the front seat on the top deck of the double-decker buses in London, April 2005, now we see in the news that its not safe! Rode the tube through King's Crossing also! It's a small world.
